To run the executables, add the relevant lib/LINUX directories to LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or LD_ELF_LIBRARY_PATH) and the relevant bin/LINUX directories to PATH, i.e.:

with sh, bash:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/pkg/vhclmaps-0.7/lib/LINUX/:/pkg/ivtools-0.7/lib/LINUX:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

To view other 1 degree DEMs, obtain the files by alphabetical list, state, graphics or on physical media and process them with the usgsdem2vtk program included in vhclmaps to produce vtk files. These can be read in by the demviewer program.
